Data Deletion Instructions

Applies to the AIA Vitality Steps Challenge microsite (this website) — see also our Privacy Policy

If you'd like us to delete the personal data we hold about you — including if you signed up or logged in using Facebook Login — this page explains what we hold and how to request its deletion.

What we would delete

A deletion request removes your entire account and everything tied to it:

  • Your name, email address, gender, and age.
  • Your full step history (manually entered and screenshot submissions), and any uploaded screenshot images.
  • Your login streak, earned badges, and daily mission completion records.
  • Your active login sessions and "remember me" sign-in token.

Once deleted, your steps no longer count toward the community total, and your account cannot be recovered.

How to request deletion

Email [INSERT CONTACT EMAIL] from the email address you registered with (or the email associated with the Google/Facebook account you used to sign in), with the subject line "Delete my AIA Vitality Steps Challenge data".

We will confirm your request and complete the deletion within [INSERT NUMBER, e.g. 30] days.

If you used Facebook Login

Removing the AIA Vitality Steps Challenge app from your Facebook settings stops it from accessing your Facebook account, but does not automatically delete the data we already hold — you'll still need to email us as above to have that data removed from our systems.
